After reading several other books by W. Cleon Skousen, I decided to dive into The Cleansing of America. Once again, Dr. Skousen wows me on virtually every page. The book gives insight into the original intent and meaning of the constitution and shows how it has been perverted since its writing. He also gives a brief explanation of the coming events of pre-millenial America and the processes of change that America will encounter at that time.As with Skousen's other books such as The First 2000 years and Prophecy and Modern Times, the language Skousen uses is easy to understand. Despite his credentials, The Cleansing of America is written with language that allows anyone to comprehend it, without diminishing the gravity or depth of his words. This makes for a fulfilling and enjoyable read.Skousen tells it like it is and avoids sensationalism, creating a text that teaches and enlightens, while at the same time encourages and uplifts. The amount of time and effort that Skousen put into researching for this book is astounding and should be considered a huge blessing not only to modern LDS families but also to anyone in our day and age who is interested in learning about things that will come to pass. If you're contemplating purchasing this book, do it! You won't regret it. I highly recommend this book for anyone and everyone.
I love this book! I have often worried about what might happen in these latter-days and what God plans on doing to cleanse America of the Wicked. It gives me hope, joy, and peace. I would recommend that you read little by little because it's intense and powerful. W. Cleon Skousen was a patriot in his own right. By reading this, I know that God is well aware of what's going on and will take care of it in his own time. Another thing I would recommend is that you improve yourselves spiritually and try to be good people during these difficult times before God chooses to go forth with cleansing of America.
The most researched and intelligent read I’ve had in a good while. So profoundly happy I found this book...shall we say, in the nick of time? Yes! If you are searching for answers, you will find them. Thank you Brother Skousen for your contribution to this life!
Such a great book! I loved the explanation of the original intent of the constitution and the list of all the ways we've perverted it over the years. I learned a lot from this book and was so fascinated that I finished it in just a handful of sittings (not typically the case for me as I am a slow reader).
This is a wonderful book, as usual Cleon Skousen answers the questions and provides the scriptures. I encourage readers who are looking for answers and want the truth.
I read all the reviews on this book before reading it, there are obviously several positive reviews but only a few negative reviews. There are some good points on the positive and the negative reviews I read.Instead of taking everyone else's word for it I figured I would read it myself and come to my own conclusions, which is what I did. This was a quick read, you can do it in one sitting. I did go back and fact check several of the quotes he pulled from scripture and other sources, from this I concluded that he did research his opinions and I believe he came to the right conclusion on several instances, but not all. He does state that this book is his opinion, and that makes all the difference. Nobody has a crystal ball that tells them the future, however we do have scripture and prophetic quotes that help us understand what will happen before the 2nd coming of Christ, this book helps put together some of that information plus makes it easy to understand.Before you post a negative review I would invite you to read the book, in full, and fact check as much of it as possible. There are a few negative posters that will say it is all incorrect because of opinions they have already formed on Skousen. In my mind, this is laziness on their part. There are many issues I have with Skousen and how he marketed some of his writings along with some of the ways he forms his opinion, however that does not discount all his work, the nay sayers would tell you otherwise.Do your own research and come to your own conclusions, do not trust someone else's opinion just because they use fancy words and they sound educated. There are many educated people that can't see past their own conclusions.

Another 5 star book by W. Cleon Skousen. I couldnt put this down. I sure learned alot about what America will experience soon. I agree with Brother Skousen that the time for this book to come out is this day and time.
