What the heck is galleon in currency back in Regency England.....I know it's currency in wizardry. Muggles currency.....Harry Potter. The hero's family is in the shipping business, so maybe a wager of a thousand ships?Plus what is it with throwing in the forbidden 5 minute trip outside for a quick fingering and hastily smoothed down skirt. Hold me back....now that's really romantic!!!!! It's only been a few days since they have been introduced. Modern inserted into regency. But then the hero was inserting too!The word "Taming" in the title is also misleading. There was nothing to tame about the heroine (except her skirts and hair). She is the quiet wallflower type. Not a wild, mischievous hellion who defied the norm.The story turns from being about the 2 couples possible love story into being a story about 1 couple's sexual attraction and encounters. The other interesting couple is completely left out.Christmas is non existent after first two chapters.

I've read several Tammy Andresen books. I like how she writes her characters. It's why I keep reading her books despite my frustration with the lapses in continuity between books. This might be the book that finally makes me give up. Did she forget that she already wrote Will as having a wife and children in Taming a Laird's Wild Lady? Unless this is prequel to that book, but there is nothing stating that. Or is this another Will Maddox who also just happens to have a sister named Isla and a creepy friend named Lord Riley?Also the writer completely abandoned the Ethel/Micheal plot thread after Chapter 9! What happened to them? Did Ethel ever find out about the bet?One last thing galleons as monetary value is from Harry Potter. Perhaps Andresen is a HP fan, but it was strange to see the term used in a Regency book.

Since Lady Amelia Chase is not outgoing, she thinks getting one particular man to notice her will never occur. When William Maddox does actually seem interested in her and even wants to dance during a house party celebrating Christmas, she is thrilled. What she does not know is that he only paid attention to her at first because of a silly bet. But once Will spends time with Amelia, his opinion of her begins to quickly change.Tammy Andresen makes her story delightfully entertaining at all times. From Christmas festivities to revealing conversations to unexpected feelings, I found the romantic situations between Will and Amelia to be captivating because of heartfelt emotions being expressed. These two find themselves in a relationship that neither saw coming, and I enjoyed watching their reactions to each new development. The Regency period always comes alive when this author writes a book, and TAMING A CHRISTMAS WALLFLOWER gave me a heartwarming feeling along with being believable. While part of a series, the story easily stands on its own. There is also another romantic couple in the book, and I look forward to seeing what happens in their relationship in a future release.

A wallflower, a bluestocking and a beautiful girl, Amelia kept into the shadows with her best friend Ethel. She tried to ignore her mother who really wanted her to make a match with a titled gentleman. Attending a Christmastide house party together, she was stunned that Will, so wonderfully handsome asked her to dance!!When I started this story I had no idea how delightful it would be and could not put it down until I finished! The fast build of emotions between the two could only bring a smile to my heart.Do not miss this Christmas story that Tammy Andresen, as always, pulls the reader in by her excellent characters and descriptions that can only make you sigh as you turn the last page. Well done!!

There is nothing better than reading a good Christmas story in the month of December. Taming A Christmas Wallflower by Tammy Andresen is book 7 in the Taming the Duke's Heart series. Though in a series it can be read as a standalone. I find that Tammy’s stories are always so charming and just have a way of making you sigh at the end of each book. Taming A Christmas Wallfower is no exception. This story is original, creative and amazing. The characters are so wonderful that you can’t help but fall in love with them. This story has a wager, teasing, kindness, misunderstandings, jealousy, a mistake, a house party, a handicap, trust, hurt and love. I highly recommend this regency book.***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.

A very refreshing story, but all to short. I loved this story. It was such a fun, romantic, easy to read book. Amelia and Will were the perfect couple. The other couple, Michael and Ethel were also a good match. It started out kind of rocky, men not too likable, at first, but quickly reformed. There, of course, was a fly in the ointment, a very mean, jealous ex friend, trying to destroy the two relationships. It had a little sizzle mixed in. It was romantic, but just too short, I wanted to hear more about both couples, but It had a very satisfying ending. I highly recommend this Christmas story. I always enjoy this author’s books.

This is a sweet short read to get you into the holiday spirit. It gave me a warm feeling all over. The characters have enough depth and the story flows well. And, yes, love at first side is possible! I always enjoy Tammy Andresen's writing and this novella is no exception.

Finding the one is very hard but the daughter of the ton, and finding one self at a Christmas party. The woman who knew a lot and is beautiful but is a wallflower. I give this story a three star rating. I like this story very much.
