What fun it is to be reading the stories of the second generation of the Assassins! We have already gotten the story of Ryan Justice, the nephew of Shea Adler, in End Game, and we get the story of his sister, Amelia, and Ryan's best friend Chandler Moon in Juicy Rebound.Amelia Justice has been trying to start her life over. After leaving home several years ago to marry her high school boyfriend, things did not go anything like she expected. When given an ultimatum, she had to make the agonizing decision between her family and the man she loved. She chose her man and in the end that was the wrong decision, however the only person she has confided in is her cousin Shelli. She's now living in her Grandmother's beach house, working at a coffee shop and trying to heal.Chandler Moon is putting all of his focus into playing professional hockey for the IceCats after finally ending the toxic marriage he was in. He's playing some of the best hockey of his life, and while he's not sure he's ready yet, his hope is that he eventually finds that one woman he's meant to spend the rest of his life with.Chandler is stunned when he goes to the local coffee joint near his house and sees the little sister of his best friend behind the counter. Amelia is as beautiful as he remembers and that awakens parts of Chandler that have lay dormant for some time. While the two knew one another in college, and shared one steamy kiss, he always knew that his best friend's sister was off limits. Will that argument stand up so many years later or will he be able to get the one woman he's never forgotten to go out on a date with him?I couldn't read this book fast enough. I loved both the main characters. Amelia, while she had been through so much, was strong, smart and driven even though she had a mountain of self doubt to work through. Chandler was just amazing. He's the kind of guy that any woman would want to meet. I loved how patient he was and how he instinctively knew there were things that Amelia was holding back, but he didn't push, knowing she'd tell him when she was ready.This is my favorite book that Toni Aleo has written. It flowed so effortlessly, the plot was great and how can you not love a bearded, tattooed hockey player?! Make sure you pick up this book; it's the start of another great series!

Let me start out by saying, I have been waiting for more of the second generation from the original Assassins books for a hot second, and Toni did not disappoint when it came to Amelia and Chandler! I also have to say that I appreciate that when Toni writes, she isn’t afraid to talk about the dark stuff. I won’t go into more detail as I don’t want to spoil anything, but the way she can write about some of the dark sides to relationships in such a way is beautiful and eloquent to say the least. Also, I say it time and time again, I absolutely love that she entwines every character in the books, and brings in old and new characters that you love!Amelia Justice is hiding out from her family, after a failed marriage that was tough to get out of she’s taking things one day at a time. Chandler Moon, also moving forward from a failed marriage, is stunned to see Amelia in South Carolina where he plays hockey for the Ice Cats. They aren’t strangers, having hooked up once in college, and with Chandler being one of Amelia’s brother’s best friends, but it’s been quite a few years since the two have seen each other and many things have changed. Amelia isn’t the fun loving girl she used to be, but Chandler is determined to bring that out in her again. Can Amelia let go of the past and move forward with her life? And is Chandler willing to risk his friendship for a girl? Once you start this book, be prepared to not be able to put it down!

If you can give a book more than 5 stars I would. Toni Aleo has started her new Ice Cats Series with a bang. The next generation of The Assassins Family is just Absolutely heartwarming, heartbreaking, angst filled, full of love & laughter but just overall Fantastic.Amelia Justice is a young woman trying to get her life back on track after having the last few years be difficult with her own personal life and her families life. What she needs is just her own space to find her way back but what she never expects is to see the one person that might have been the one that got away.Chandler Moon a star player with the South Carolina Ice Cats has gone through his own life’s ups and downs, getting out of a crazy marriage but with the love of a fantastic parents and great friends he’s in a good place but when a unexpected encounter with a woman who always was off limits appears you can’t help wonder if this was fate.Chandler & Amelia have the chemistry that you can feel fall off the pages but they will have to overcome from ups and downs not only from there pasts but even some from there here and now. Their journey is incredible to watch and you will feel yourself cheering them on with each and every turn of the page but what you want in the end is for them to find that HEA.

Oh my stars, I just loved Juicy Rebound!!!!Toni completely had me spellbound from the get go. Taking you on the journey from the original Assassins and now working you into the next generation is a wonderful rollercoaster of emotions.Amelia Justice is working to find herself again. Completely shut off from everyone she’s ever known or loved, she’s working to find her way back. Little does she know...she’s gonna shoot straight to the Moon!Chandler Moon is enjoying life as an IceCat and finally cleared his life of his psycho ex. What are the chances of running into your Best Friend’s baby sister after all these years? This time around, he can’t say no.
